today i finally cut up the watermelon i bought before i went to America
hopefully we will now eat it

Psychedelic Labyrinth
discovered today this labyrinth is not so bright
but it was hot,
so hot in the centre that laying on the stone middle
i felt as if i might burn myself
the labyrinth is a process
i sank into it
was ensnared, captured, held
oblivious to the sound of traffic, of aeroplanes, of life

i saw this plaque in a little cafe in Harrisonburg
and was reminded of an idea that i've encoutered
a few times recently, that once someone looks at, thinks about,
experiences something it becomes their's,
what they make of it, not necessarily what you hoped
or thought or intended but theirs from their experience,
their knowing, their being

.. apparently if you're down there for two weeks with
no light you would go blind, scary stuff

Bright Spark

i'm not sure if these blue bulbs require a brightspark
or indeed any spark but i liked them, especially the colour
.. i saw them today waiting on a tour of Grand Caverns
to start ..

Tree Spirit

Today by the shores of an orange lake
i encountered a tree spirit, the shadows
were most interesting and i was more
than happy to stand and look out across
the lake with my companion

Travel

for some reason travel seems to equate to food,
is it comfort, hunger, boredom
as i leave the swine flu hyteria seems to be
moving up a gear whether its real or not
(the hysteria not the flu) i don't know
but it continues and i fly off to Newark

and between Edinburgh to Newark, more food




and also a lot of beautiful clouds which
occupied much of my time


although i did find time to watch five CSI episodes
and capture myself, initially by accident
and then on purpose, i thought why not
take a few self portraits, so here i am, phoenix & raven
